Design consultant, Lisa Van Horn has been working in the field of graphic design since 2003, after graduating from University of Delaware. She began her design career at a small advertising agency in Maryland and continued with a management role with the Baltimore-based magazine, Urbanite.
For over 10 years, Lisa has also enjoyed working as a freelance designer, which has opened her doors to working with companies on branding, editorial design, advertising, and event projects.
Throughout this work experience, Lisa learned she has a passion for working with others. She decided to pursue her teaching interest and received a Masters to teach art/design in 2012 from UMBC. She now works part time for Montgomery County Public Schools and feels the best way to learn and be inspired is by teaching others. See Lisa’s blog for personal work, class projects, and lesson ideas.
Lisa resides in Frederick, Maryland with her husband, son, daughter, and 2 dogs. Whether traveling, biking, skiing, or swimming, Lisa’s family enjoys their free time outdoors.
